  1. While the idea of hiking in the rain wouldn’t normally appeal to me, you make it sound exhilarating and fun. The hikes (treks) you suggest all look amazingly interesting and I love the idea of being able to get to some of the starting points by train. The pictures you’ve shared are beautiful as are the descriptions.

    1. It can be a challenge if you aren’t mentally prepared for it. However, it is fun and exciting to walk up these giant mountains, especially when you are with friends and family. You have to be cautious, but once you reach the top you realize that the effort was worthwhile. You feel like you’re on top of the world.

  2. I had been to two of them, Lohgad and Prabalgad, both are beauties of Maharashtra.

Lohgad is easy and marvellous with a beautiful pond on the top of the fort and Prabalgad is mighty which needs courage to climb up the top.

    Great Info Sharukh. Thank you.

  3. bro nice information…. im planing to trek to kalavantin durg… i dnt knw exact place whr is is it… can u please give me some info about it.. m living in bangalore

    1. Hi Prakash, Kalavantin Durg is located near Panvel in Mumbai. You can ask for Shedung Phata and take a rickshaw to Thakurwadi village. Once you get to the village you will find a road marked for this place. You can hike from here.
